Mark A. Byron, D.D.S, M.S.
Dr. Byron is originally from the Pittsburgh area, and has lived in Parkersburg since 1999. He received his Bachelor of Science from Penn State University then attended West Virginia University where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1985. He served several years as a general dentist in the U.S. Navy. After completing his Navy service, he returned to WVU as an instructor and had the opportunity to enter the Endodontic residency program, receiving his Master of Science in Endodontics in 1994. Upon completing this program, he entered into active duty with the U.S. Air Force. In 1999 he opened Parkesburg Endodontics and enjoys providing the highest quality care for our patients.
He has served as Chairman of the Blennerhassett Dental Society Education Committee, and adjunct professor at WVU School of Dentistry, teaching Endodontics to both undergraduate dental students and post-doctoral students in the Endodontic residency program. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics. Mark married his wife Karen in 1994. They enjoy camping and traveling. When not in the office, Dr. Byron can be found fly fishing.
Scott T. Seago, D.D.S.
Dr. Seago grew up in St. Charles, MO and was fortunate to receive a soccer scholarship at Wheeling Jesuit University where he received his undergraduate degree in 2003. He had such a great experience at Wheeling Jesuit University; he wanted to attend dental school at West Virginia University where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2007. Following graduation, Dr. Seago was commissioned into the United States Air Force as a Dental officer and his hard work at dental school earned him an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency that he completed in 2008. Dr. Seago practiced general dentistry for the Air Force at MacDill Air Force Base for four years. It was there he applied for and was accepted into a postdoctoral specialty program in endodontics at Keesler Medical Center. He completed this program in 2014. He was then the Chief of Endodontics for the Advanced Education in General Dentistry program at Langley Air Force Base for three years before joining our team. Dr. Seago is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics and a published author in the Journal of Endodontics. Scott married his wife Jennifer in 2010, and they have two little boys, Luke (born in 2012), and Matthew (born in 2014). Dr. Seago is an avid sports enthusiast, enjoys playing golf and spending time with his family which he considers his highest priority.
